Our Domestic Violence Training Programs

At the DART Institute, we are committed to addressing the complex and multifaceted issue of DFSV. Through our innovative tiered approach to training, we aim to build the capacity and capability of professionals and organisations across the entire service system response. Our evidence-based training programs are designed to equip workers at all levels with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support individuals and families affected by family violence.

Our diverse range of training programs and workshops cover primary, secondary, tertiary, and specialist areas to ensure a holistic response. Each program is tailored to meet the unique needs of various professionals, from frontline staff to specialists in family violence intervention and prevention services.

  • Primary Level Training: Aimed at community organisations and general service providers, our primary-level training programs focus on raising awareness and preventing family violence through early intervention strategies.
  • Foundations Level Training: Aimed at community organisations and general service providers, our Foundations level training provides the skills and ability to recognise and respond appropriately to DFSV at a foundational knowledge level.
  • Secondary Level Training: Designed for professionals who regularly come into contact with individuals at risk of family violence, such as healthcare workers, social workers, and educators.
  • Tertiary Level Training: Focused on service providers involved in the critical response and recovery stages of family violence, tertiary-level training prepares professionals for managing complex cases and offering specialised intervention strategies.

By offering a comprehensive range of training programs across multiple levels, the DART Institute ensures that individuals and organisations are empowered with the expertise to provide effective, coordinated, and compassionate responses to DFSV. Our commitment to evidence-based, practical training helps foster safer communities and a stronger service system response.
