Adjunct Researcher | Curriculum Adviser


Dr Jane Lorrimar provides leadership in research, professional development and curriculum design in family violence intervention, trauma-informed practice and gender equality.

Jane has led professional development for the Department of Communities, developing and implementing family violence training for housing, child protection, FDV specialist and partner agencies. She also led the implementation of accredited training in child, youth and family intervention for the Department of Child Protection.

In 2022, Jane received a Certificate of Recognition for best practice in collaboration between government and organisations. She was commended for her work in developing Western Australia’s first accredited skill set in family violence intervention.

Jane has held senior positions in the Department of Education and Department of Training and Workforce Development. She was awarded a scholarship and Australian Research Grant to complete a strategic partnership with industry focussed on improving gender equity in vocational education and training.

Jane holds a doctorate, specialising in organisational culture, gender, power dynamics and identity politics.
