This 3-hour self-paced training provides practitioners with a deeper understanding of honour-based violence (HBV) within the Australian context. Participants will develop the knowledge and confidence to recognise indicators of HBV, understand the legal and practice framework, engage safely and appropriately with perpetrators, support victim-survivors and their families using trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches, and identify appropriate referral pathways.
The course is designed to strengthen recognition, risk assessment, and safe professional responses rather than provide specialist perpetrator intervention training.
